Founded in 1981, the mission of the WBA Foundation is to provide grants to nonprofits serving the legal and related needs of women and girls in the DC Metropolitan community by leveraging the generosity of the legal community and its allies.

 

Purpose: To drive positive change for women and girls in the DC Metropolitan community through strategic philanthropy that strengthens legal access and empowerment.

 

Vision: To leverage strategic philanthropy and impactful community engagement to empower and uplift women and girls driving toward a future where everyone has the power, resources, and legal support to thrive and lead.

The WBA Foundation supports community nonprofit organizations in the D.C. Metropolitan Area through its annual grant program. The WBAF Foundation also offers Founders Fellowship each year to an area law school to support a student  who is pursuing a public interest summer internship to advance the legal interests of women and children.
